Thank you for your interest in Webb’s Chihuahuas!

We breed to show, so we usually keep any pups that look promising for the show ring.

We seldom have puppies for sale because we breed maybe 1-3 litters a year.

In terms of getting a pet puppy from us, it is generally much easier to get a male than a female because we don't usually keep males for our breeding program. Generally we can tell within 8 - 12 weeks that a pup will or won't make the cut as a show dog, but it may 24 to 36 weeks to see how a baby is turning out, especially if we are waiting for testicles to descend or waiting for the bite.

Our "pet" pups sell for about $500 or more depending on if we are trying to pay the vet bill for a c-section. Our show pups start at $1000. All of our dogs are AKC registered.

We occasionally place adult dogs who have retired from the show ring or our breeding program to special homes for a low adoption fee.

We will also consider selling show prospects on co-ownership to serious exhibitors.

All of our dogs are sold or placed with a vet certificate, AKC papers and a health guarantee. Beware of "CKC registered" dogs... people who have lost AKC approval, or never had it, can register just about any dog with the CKC, and there are NO inspections and few regulations to protect the potential puppy buyer.

All puppies are sold with a 72 hour guarantee against "significant genetic abnormalities", with a full refund if such problems are documented by a vet. I consider significant genetic abnormalities to be anything that impairs/ impedes the dog's ability to function normally and comfortably, and live a normal life span without the need for sustained or extensive veterinary intervention. Cosmetic issues, such as misaligned teeth, would not fall into this category. The misaligned teeth would be taken in to consideration if you are buying the dog for show.

We are in Bainbridge Indiana, you would have to be willing to come here and meet with us and the puppy if you decided to get one.  I believe that you can not tell a show puppy from just a picture on the internet. If I am looking for a show puppy I like to put my hands on the dog to make sure that what the judge looks for is what the dog may have.

WE FIRMLY BELIEVE THAT THERE ARE TOO MANY UNWANTED AND POORLY BRED PUPPIES BORN IN THIS WORLD ALREADY, AND WE WILL NOT KNOWINGLY ADD TO THE PROBLEM. IF WE SELL A PUPPY AS A "PET", IT IS NOT INTENDED TO BE BRED.

Therefore, we contractually require that ALL PET PUPPIES be spayed or neutered within 6 months of purchase, and AKC papers will be witheld until proof of sterilization is provided from a licensed veterinarian.

If you think that a Webb puppy might be for you, copy the "Questions for prospective puppy buyers" below, paste it into an e-mail titled "Webb’s Chihuahua Puppy", and answer ALL the questions honestly please. Send the e-mail to us, and we will respond. Click on the Mail box below.
